Mr. Michael W. Ndungu is currently working as a Team Administrator with the Maryland State Government DHS. He has spent the last 16 years working for the State Government as a Licensed Social Worker involved in the training, recruiting, supervising, evaluating and giving clinical oversight to Case Managers and Social Workers in that department. He has been a strong advocate for vulnerable children and families in Baltimore City where he is currently stationed. Previously he worked as a high school teacher and Head of Humanities in Kenya.
Michael is also involved in community development and is currently serving as the Secretary of an Investment Group, which consists of a group of Kenyan members and is based in Maryland with business interests in Kenya and in the US.
During his free time, he works part time as a therapist with various mental health companies in the State.
He is an alumnus of Nairobi University, Kenyatta University and Nairobi School in Kenya. He holds a Master’s Degree in Social Work from the University of Maryland in Baltimore.
He is an ardent member of the Kenya USA Diaspora Regulated Non-WDT Sacco and firm believer in Sacco investments. He was previously a member of Mwalimu Sacco Society in Kenya for many years before migrating to the US.
He is a family man and enjoys spending time with his family and friends. He loves travelling to new places and meeting new people, taking photos and making positive impacts in people’s lives.
