Karimi Igeria, with a history of leadership roles in various Kenyan and diaspora organizations, brings a wealth of experience as a community organizer and technology professional to the Kenya-USA Diaspora Sacco (KUDS) Board of Directors.
In his previous roles as Webmaster for the United African Women Organization (UAWO) from 2019 to 2022 and as President of Wakenya In Michigan Association (WIMA) from 2016 to 2018, among others, Karimi has demonstrated his commitment to fostering collaboration and growth within diverse communities. His leadership in these organizations has provided him with a deep understanding of the challenges facing the community, which he aims to bring to the board to ensure the representation of all Sacco members.
Karimi’s professional expertise as a Linux Systems Administrator and AWS Solutions Architect has enabled him to drive innovation and optimize IT infrastructure for various companies. He believes in the importance of leveraging technology effectively for organizational success and is committed to helping KUDS harness the benefits of AWS cloud computing.
As the owner of KarimiConsulting, Karimi is actively involved in assisting clients with AWS cloud migration, account management, and WordPress development. If elected to the board, he plans to focus on three key areas: technology integration, financial empowerment, and community engagement. By improving digital strategy, driving financial literacy initiatives, and promoting community development, Karimi aims to shape a brighter future for KUDS.
